Arsenal left it late to beat Manchester United in dramatic fashion in the Premier League at Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus both score in time added on to seal three points for the Gunners just minutes after the Red Devils nearly won it themselves through Alejandro Garnacho.

It was Arsenal who fell behind after 27 minutes when Marcus Rashford opened the scoring for United with effectively the visitors' first chance of the game. Erik ten Hag's men were only in front for less than two minutes, though, as Martin Odegaard dragged Mikel Arteta's side level with a fine strike.

The hosts saw shouts for a penalty overturned at 1-1 as Kai Havertz sought to atone for an earlier miss and the same fate nearly befell Bukayo Saka who was denied by Andre Onana when he should have scored. However, substitute Garnacho's finish just minutes later was ruled out for offside and Arsenal did more than breathe a sigh of relief.

The Gunners went on to score twice with Rice finishing from a Saka assist on a set play before Jesus was played in by fellow substitute Fabio Vieira to make it 3-1. As harsh as the result was on United, Ten Hag will be furious with the officials although Arteta might have felt the same about the overturned penalty.

Arsenal up to fifth in the Premier League table while United are midtable after two wins and two draws from their opening four games.
