Historic Decision: Argentina's senate legalized abortion.

Argentinas congress has finally legalized abortions up to the 14th week of pregnancy, a groundbreaking move for a region that has some of the worlds most restrictive pregnancy termination laws. Senators voted in favour of this bill after a marathon session with 38 in favour, 29 against and one abstention.

The bill had been approved by the chamber of the deputies earlier this month. Until now, abortions were

only permitted in cases of rape or when the mothers life is at risk.
